Big birthdays, anniversaries and wedding tables deserve a cake that feels made for the day. We design every cake to order in buttercream at our bakery on Station Road, Kirkham, a short drive inland from Lytham and St Annes.
The birthdays that end in a zero.
A 40th, a 50th or a 70th is usually a proper gathering, with family travelling in and a table to fill. These are the cakes we love making most: clean buttercream finishes, gold or black detailing, vintage piping, numbers, and fresh flowers when the season is right.
Bring us a colour scheme, a photo you love or just a feeling, and Emma will turn it into a design. If you are not sure on size, tell us roughly how many guests you are expecting and we will recommend one in your quote.
Two tiers, three tiers, or cake and cupcakes.
Weddings and tiered cakes are best booked a month or more ahead, as weekends fill up. A small two tier serves around 30 to 40, a large two tier 70 to 80 or more, and three tiers are sized to your guest list.
- Buttercream only. We do not currently work with fondant.
- A smaller cake with a stand of cupcakes is an easy way to feed a bigger room.

From Station Road to the Lytham coast.
Most of our cakes are collected from the bakery at 10b Station Road, Kirkham, PR4 2AS. When you collect, we will show you how to carry it safely so it arrives looking the way it left. If you would rather we brought it to you, request delivery on the enquiry form and we will confirm whether we can, and the cost, in your quote.
While you are collecting, there is Atkinsons coffee and the day’s bakes on the counter, and on Fridays and Saturdays our pre-ordered sourdough is ready from 10am.

Do you make wedding cakes?
Yes, in buttercream, from a single cake to three tiers, or a cake with a stand of cupcakes. Book a month or more ahead if you can.
Can you deliver to Lytham or St Annes?
Collection from our Kirkham bakery is the main option. Request delivery on the enquiry form and we confirm whether we can do it, and the price, in your quote.
How much does a celebration cake cost?
It depends on the size, tiers and decoration. Our price guide shows the starting price for every size, and your free quote gives the exact figure before you commit.
Can I change the design after booking?
Ask at least seven days before collection and we will tell you whether the change is possible and whether it affects the price.
Can I give a cake as a gift?
Our gift cards can be spent against a bespoke cake, as well as in the shop.
